Holy Prophet Elijah Orthodox Christian Church

Welcome to the Holy Prophet Elijah Orthodox Christian Church website

The founding of Holy Prophet Elijah Orthodox Christian Church  was blessed by His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad In November, 2018. The first Vigil and Divine Liturgy were held on January 6-7, 2019 at the LeConte Auditorium in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Since that time, the parish has obtained a location where regular services are now held. It is directly across the street from Holy Cross Roman Catholic parish on McGill Street, Pigeon Forge. Great Feast and weekend services are presently being celebrated and the schedule of these services can be found on this website.

Services are conducted in both English and Church Slavonic. All are welcome to attend although only Orthodox Christians may receive the Holy Mysteries (sacraments). Vespers is served at 6:00 pm on Saturday evening (about an hour in length) and Hours and Divine Liturgy are served on Sundays at 10:00 am (about two hours). After services, Father Mark is happy to visit with parishioners and guests and there is always coffee, tea and light refreshments after the Sunday Liturgy. Please “come and see!”
